Mark,

There should be no problems with the other underhood components.  It's
widely used by the OEMs  for all kinds of applications, including engine
blocks.  Just be careful on manifolds (both intake and exhaust).  It will
burn off exhaust manifolds, and may discolor on intakes, unless of course
it's black.
