I am finally getting around to installing my rebuilt engine and find that
I lost the outer O-ring (the larger one) where the outer rim of the spin
on adaptor sets in the block. I hate to hold off till I can have TRF
send a $1.00 seal! Since the adaptor doesn't have to go off and on has
anyone had success simply using silicone? I was all set to simply wait
for a seal to arrive but the more I thought about it the silicone may
seal better... Any experience with this or the OEM filter cover?
