Hello List:
In removing and replacing my sump pan, the bolts fastening the pan did not
have any washers on them. The various catalogues show a washer; wondering
if this should be a spring (lock) washer or a flat type? Washers make
sense to me in this application. Wondering if the PO just left them off.
As well, I have always used Permatex aviation grade gasket sealer for such
applications. Would you coat both sides of the sump pan gasket in this
application?
