Hey Gang,

Business got in the way a little this week. Sorry for not getting back to
everyone. I got replies from 18 different people on this. Thanks to all
of you that took the time to reply. I really it a chord.

He is the "film at 11". The bottom line is that almost all the people who
replied with TR3A/Bs and early TR4s have had this problem for the recent 2
years anyway maybe longer. Some get a year some get 3 months.... might
depend on how often you drive the car. Nobody chimed in to say "theirs
never failed'. Doesn't mean they are not out there.... they just didn't
report in.

Peter Arakelian, who is a LBC nut and works for Moss wrote and said he was
concerned about this failure rate. I meet Peter in Portland, real nice guy
and good Moss rep. He asked that I send him the failing part to send back
to the vendor to see what's going on. Great customer service... thanks
Peter and Moss.

On the alternative part idea. It seems from the replies that there are
many 60s/70s American cars that used hydraulic switches. I am going take
the part to my local guy and the AutoZone to see if I can find a reliable
alternative source until we get some feedback from Peter.... if he can get
the vendor to figure it out. Listers reported on a '64 Mercury Monterey
(Ford family part) switch, '51 Dodge truck switch... now who wrote that...
and a VW bus switch.

The brown parts truck came with 2 switches today from Moss. I will keep
one on hand just in case. I will report if I can find a temporary
substitute that works.

Thanks again
