Hi Carl
I had the week off on holiday last week, and one of the jobs
I set myself was to 'sort out' some of my old TR4 bits and
pieces. I actually came across the original cubby box
that was with mt TR4, and guess what - it was black on the
inside and biscuit on the outside. It showed no hint of
paint, so I guess the black colour was original. The
Triumph part number was written on the outside in pencil -
that seems to be normal for Triumph, as I have seen several
other items with their numbers written on, including the
wooden dash that came with the car.
I guess its too late for you now but at least you know the
answer !!!!
