Actually, they said it *shouldn't* be done, but I never listen to those
sorts of comments anyway.
I drilled out the broken stud in the head. Much drilling, broke a drill
bit (luckily with enough sticking out to remove it), lots of wrestling
with a tap, but I now have 6 threads captured.
The question- is that enough (it's just less that half an inch), or should
I keep going and try to get "all" the threads in? (there are 10 threads).
I was going to keep going but I broke my tap handle, and also bashed
myself in the mouth, so I'm going to have a bath and let my bones uncoil.
