In partial response to Leon Guyot's observations about Rover
and the new 'fit' with BMW.
The bottom line is that Rover as a company has ceased to
exist, with the Rover name remaining only in the BMW Groups
product profile as a marque name alongside Mini, Land Rover
and MG. We are now all fully fledged BMW employees,
encouraged to learn German, attend classes on 'das Kultur' -
though no-one has yet suggested we buy a Roverised BMW,
Roverised Rover, BMWised Rover - or even a BMW. I'm quite
happy with my gallic little Renault Clio with its garlic
onions hanging from the front bumper and a big six Triumph
lurking in the garage for use in anger on high days and
holidays.
