       After my engine was rebuilt my mechanic told me to go with the mallory 
distributer. He also told me to go with the tach you mentioned and have it 
calibrated for my six cylinder engine ( I have a GT6+). He used to race gt6s 
so I think he was speaking from experince.  Hope this helps.
