I recently removed the gas guage sending unit from my 1980 Spitfire and found that the float was about 1/5 filled with gas. I drilled a pin-sized hold and drained the gas, but now I don't know exactly what to use to seal it back up. I think I remember this coming up some time ago. I believe someone recommended a type of epoxy to paint the surface of the float. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks, Tim Gaines 1980 Spitfire 1974 TR6 |
