According to the Triumph Stag Restoration book,it
mentions that the thin medium sized washer goes under
the check strap. The very large washer goes over the
check strap. Two medium-sized thick washers go on top
of the mounting block and then the medium sized thin
washer goes inside the car.
According to memory, this was no the case with my
Stag.
I had the thin medium sized washer went under the
check strap. The very large washer went over the
check strap. One medium-sized thick washer and one
medium sized thin washer went over the mounting block
and then the medium sized thick washer went inside the
car.
(I can't remember if the thick washers were sandwiched
between the body of the car or one thick and one
thin.)
Can anyone remember the relative positions of the
washers?
