John,

Sorry got the dots and dashes wrong again!!!!!! Here is the correct email
address:

Try this triumph@trbitz.u-net.com Address it to John Sykes. NFI etc.

I have copied to the list as I think the panel may be of interest to other
listers.

I did not learn about the availability of this panel until I had done it
the
hard way.

The repair panel was commissioned by TR Bitz themselves. A pattern was
taken
from a rust free Californian TR6. I have seen one of these repair panels
first hand and it is superb it even includes the scalloped shapes and
flutes
as original and is applicable to TR 4/5/6. Cost, if I remember correctly,
about £30.

The panel fits the complete area of the battery extending side to side
until
it meets the almost vertical part of the bulkhead (firewall) and up to
where
the pedals are mounted. The depth is full from the vertical at the back to,
and including, the half inch lip at the front. The only shortfall, in my
opinion, is that the back lip is only approximately half an inch. I would
have liked it to have been at least three inches. Easily rectified I
suppose.

I hope that my explanation of the area it covers is reasonably clear.

Regards,
Adrian
