I guess it was last Fall, when I asked for input on my problem with steering
wheel "bounce" when I went over rough road surfaces. Well, it took me a
while to test out your hypothesis, but the majority of you were right. It
was because my dash support bracket was out. Damn, what a difference! I can
even set my choke now without pulling the dash out 3".

It took me this long because I needed to restore dash, put in the correct
shifter (had a long Spitfire one installed), redo the shifter bushes, line
and install a new transmission tunnel, etc.

Between the new tranny cover (old one was leaky...heat...noise...carbon
monoxide) , new shifter bushes and reinstallation of the dash support,
well...it's like a whole other car. I'm psyched!
