The one I bought simply required you to cut off the old end, insert  the raw
cable in to the opening of the new end, and then it screwed down tight onto
it.  Otherwise , you'll have to cut and solder it into place I guess, but
these kits are usually a ten minute job. I've put them on at swap meets.
