Hi Ken
I don't know how much relevance you can find in this but I changed the rear
of my 2000 saloon from 4.11:1 to 3.45:1, I don't have a specific time for
the 0-60 but it is still pretty impressive, though a bit slower, for a 32
year old four door saloon car weighing in at nearly 1 ton and only having 90
ish bhp under the bonnet. The main difference I found was that with the 4.11
rear end the motor was revved out at about 90 mph whereas with the 3.45 rear
end it is powered out at 90 mph i.e. there is not enough power to push the
brick any faster (not too aerodynimic!)
As an aside, I thought that the scolded cat type 0-30 time with the 4.11
rear end had a certain amount that could afford to be traded for easier
cruising. Also I got back a lot of the lost acceleration when I fitted an
o/d box and wired it to work in second. I realise that you won't be doing
that as you are making a choice.
Final thought, you need to decide which acceleration you think you will be
able to live with, do you blast from one set of lights to the next or do you
do steady cruising? Also wouldn't 3.27 have been standard for a non o/d car,
what is the standard perfomance like compared to your enhanced performance?

Graham.
