I own a TR4A and a TR250, so I looked at them to compare the difference.
The TR4A uses a single cable to the rear carb of the HS6 SU. Hopefully you
have the little cable fitting that attaches to the linkage and then to the
cable. The cable is feed down through the hole in the body of the carb which
acts as a stop for the outer cable. The TR250 use the two cables system, and
I suppose if you added another cable fitting and presuming that the front
carb has a provision for it (mine does) you could use a double cable. But, a
single cable would work also. I have a new TR250 cable (reproduction) yet to
be installed, and it is more than long enough to get to both carbs. Usually
they are trimmed to fit. Got it from TRF years ago, so maybe they still make
them.
