Sorry to blast the lists, but I need some advise before I toss away some
more $$ on another dead Triumph.
I've run across a '63 Spitfire for sale locally that would just fit in the
empty space in the barn. No overdrive, but it look fairly complete, just
peeling paint and some rust. It's been sitting outside for at least 5
years and will need a complete restoration if it's restorable at all.
Supposedly, the engine was rebuilt and running before the PO passed on 4
years ago. I've been to the VTR website and based on the price guide
there, I'd put it somewhere between the lowest 2 increments ($300 - $600).
The question is, do those prices still apply and is there any extra value
to an early car? Worst case, if it's not restorable, what's a complete
'63 Spit parts car worth these days?
