Way back in 1972, a friend put a 4a manifold on the car that is my current 58
3A. As far as I remember it worked ok. It is hard to remember but I think he
even used the old 57 style bullet starter and had enough room. He did have
to have a special 2 into 1 pipe made because the muffler wouldnt fit. Look at
the moss catalog at the exhaust pages and note part # 262-020 is the part
that wouldnt fit. Maybe you could use part # 860-030 the "Y" pipe as a
replacement for the mufler and it would fit. However Not sure why U want to
do this modification, unless you are fitting a 3 head to a 4A, in which case
I believe you will have no problem.
