Bob:
There is a difference. The TR-4 trans has all four speeds synchronized,
and thus a different reverse gear setup. The tops are NOT interchangable.
However, I believe that if you swap the reverse selector shafts, with
their forks, then they should work just fine. I've never done this
however.
