Geo Metro Convertible...
I went to drive one when they first came out... I thought of it as maye
a modern day Midget for $7000..
Went on the test drive solo. Got a few blocks from the dealer... and
let 'er rip. Revved it up and quickly dropped the clutch... it ttok off
squealing the tires and the engine growling like a hot motorcycle.
Redlined it in first, threw it in second. Engine still growling... not a
bad sound. Wound it out in second and went into third. Glanced at the
speedo... 20mph. Lots of fun getting there, though. ;-)
I decided the car wasn't for me. Why couldn't they have put a _little_
sexier body on it AND used the Swift GT 100hp engine.. and maybe charged
$10,000? Still well under a Miata... and then it might have been a very
popular car!
