Indeed, Kai, my TR6 crankshaft was multi-planar. Cylinders 1 & 6 are on one
plane, cylinders 2 % 5 are on one plane, and cylinders 3 & 4 are on the last
plane. I can't verify that they are all separated by 120 degrees - it's now
in the engine - but it looked darn close to 120 degrees. If you've rebuilt
your 6 engine, when you turn the crank to achieve TDC prior to timing the
cam, you should notice that 1&6 move together, 2&5 move together but behind
the first grouping, and 3&4 move together behind all the others.
