No - I always thought it was kinda standard, being in the middle of the top
of the windscreen... Why, where else would you put it?

No, but then again, mine's an early TR6 with the ignition switch inbetween
the choke and the heater fan switch above the gear shift. Oh, and it's RHD,
so I always start it with my left hand... :-)
