Spitfire 1500 & Weber DGV

I have a 1979 Spitfire 1500 that needs a new carb. Is the Weber DGV a good
replacement (i.e., driveability, economy & performance) for the Stromberg
(converted to manual choke) that I am tired of fiddling with? Any
recommendations on setup and tuning?
