List: A friend from the CPTC asked me a question that I would like to get the list's opinion before I answer. He has had a persistent slow leak from his TR3 steering box and was wondering if you could replace the oil with a synthetic grease. His thinking is the grease will not harden and would also not lead. Your thoughts are appreciated.
