I've never welded aluminum, and plan to take a TIG course this fall. Al can be welded, but preparation is important. Most important, IMHO, is to find the very end of the crack and drill it there, right through. I am absolutely *not* an expert on this, BTW. -- Douglas Frank Compaq Computer Corp.
