Another
vacuum hose from the other side of the distributor goes to the bottom of
the
back carb. The top of the back carb has a threaded hole that appears to be
"in need of some kind of fitting" or something is missing. What would that
be? What is that empty hole for? It runs very ragged right now.

There is no other vacuum operated devices on a 71 TR6 so if this port is
indeed machined into the carb (may be a carb from a 74 or later car) it
should be capped off.
