Just idle curiosity again, exactly what company made/sold the 'Allison'
ignitions ? If it was Allison-Detroit Diesel, you might have some luck with
your claim against Allison Transmission, they are still in existence
(although I believe wholly-owned by GM).
Of course, that's always the problem with 'lifetime' warranties, they don't
always specify whose lifetime <g>
