Hi :

Have a TR3A that was painted in BRG by TPO. His paperwork indicated that he
used PPG code 43342 which the PPG lab said replaced code 42487, the original
color. 43342 comes up code 25 for British Leyland as used on MGB and on this
page <A HREF="http://www.teglerizer.com/mgcolors/index.html";>MG photo color
code guide</A> and this one <A
HREF="http://www.mgcars.org.uk/MGB/mgbpaint.html";>MGB Paint Specifications</A>
. It
crossed over to Standox paint code 44869 which is indexed to GN29 not 25 <A
HREF="http://www.standox.com/";>
Standox Online English</A> . Except that it matches and the code 25 comes up
Standox 55069 which is lighter and doesn't match the color on the car which
is 43342 PPG according to the paper work. Now when I get the 43342 color from
PPG it doesn't match the car and looks more like the code 25 in Standox which
is GN25.
The Standox color that looks correct (44869) is called British Racing Green,
Woodland Green. Any of you have a similar BRG experience? Will a computer
match prove most accurate?
