When cranking my 31 model "A" Ford you have to retard the timing all the way
up to be safe against is kicking back and breaking your arm, always crank only
on the pulling up cycle, never on the down swing, yes they will get you if
you're not careful, on the "A" the timing is controled from the inside of the
car on the steering column, I think it looks neat when cranking. They use to
have contests at TRA shows for cranking. "FT"
