Hi Ashford,
 I am using both Koni shocks up front, VB shock conversion w/KYB gas in
the rear, TRF competition springs & Prothane bushings. The springs do
lower the car about 1.5" at the wheel arch. I must say it really is
about what your trying to accomplish here. There are many compromises
and combinations for ride quality, performance & comfort. I have always
preferred a tighter more performance style ride ( after all it is a
sports car ) & was prepared to give up some ride quality, although I
must say the car really rides pretty good. You will notice the
difference on roads that would be considered bad to begin with anyway.
The suspension on these cars are not going to soak up road bumps no
matter what your set up. A softer shock & easier spring rate along with
additional ride height will mostly give you more wheel travel & the
ability to not "bottom out" as readily.
The lowering & tightening of the suspension has greatly improved the
handling characteristics of the car , which to me makes it much more fun
to drive.
