cross shaft grease fittings

I am planning to put a cross shaft with grease fittings into my TR6 bell
housing this winter when I pull the transmission again.  Are any of the
earlier TR's cross shafts with the fittings already in going to be a simple
swap, or do the bushing or other items need to be changed as well?
