Getting the springs out can be a dangerous job, but I'm assuming your putting
new ones in.
They ARE Dangerous.
I took my new springs down to the local spring shop and has them banded. It
cost abou $10 a spring.
Put them back in tightened everything up and put the car back on the ground so
there is weight on them. Took the tourches and cut the bands off.
Many many moons ago a friend and I were messing with a 56 Chev and he lost a
finger with the spring flying about.
Be very careful.
