It was 1966 between freshman and sophomore year of college and I bought a
1961 blue AH Sprite from a local kid for $500. He had beat on the car pretty
good and I got it with no 1st or reverse gear. That made for some
interesting driving (and parking) until I got it fixed. A year later I sold
it back to him with no clutch so I could buy a 1964 AH 3000 for $1400.
