Hi John.

Thanks for the message. I went ahead and installed it
the way that made sense to me, long ear on the front
end of the car. I didn't get any other replies to me
question. It was interesting trying to get the rubber
seal into place. At first I thought I could seat the inner
edge into the channel and then press the outer edge
in with a blunt instrument, no dice. I ended up filling
the channel with gummyfuge, a bmw weather seal
treatment product (very slippery), and covering the
entire seal in the gummyfluge, and then a slid the seal
into the channel. It took liberal doses of lubricant but
after an hour I was successful. It always makes me
wonder how they did these procedures on the factory
assembly line.

Regards,
David Brady
