bolts on trying to get the caseing apart to see if I can look at the inside
and clean it up. What I am now wondering about is I found a NOS alternator
but it fits a 76 no ac. mine has ac ,not that its hooked up ? what is the
differance?? Is it an amp thing or is it a location?? Or did a car with
AC
have apure different alternator. Dang I gotta find my hanyes manuel Wife
still has not dug it out for me.

Chris, the only difference I am aware of is the amperage since the AC
equipped cars required more electrical power to run the electric fans
although the connections may be different, too. In the recent past a list

rebuild shop also listed the following Bosch cross
references:
0-120-489-104,105,510,511,587,588,664,668,669,670,671,937,938.

Not all come with a voltage regulator, it is a plug-in
and is part #0-192-062-007."

I suggest you take your alternator to Shucks or whomever and compare it to
one of these. As long as it fits the mounting and the connections and the
pulley is in the right place, it will work.

Cheers
