I am wondering if anyone can help me I have a 1967 Triumph GT6 setup with
triple Webers as per SAH (Triumph tuners located in Linsdale UK) and I am
trying to get it accepted in a racing club (CSRG) here in Northern
California. They require documentation as a period correct modification, as
offered by the car's manufacturer or was listed by a recongnized sanctioning
body (i.e. FIA, SCCA etc.). They also say SCCA rulebooks prior to 1968. Do
you happen to know if GT6s with Webers were accepted by SCCA then. From the
"Works Spitfire" website www.triumphspitfire.com I have found that Triumph
offered twin weber tuning (Stage II) for the Spitfire. They raced the
Spitfire with a GT6 body in the 1964/65 Le Mans. Triumph later got out of
racing and never offered competition accessories for the GT6 and that it
where SAH stepped in. If I can find anywhere in the world that the GT6 was
raced with Webers prior to 1968 I am sure would do. Any help you could give
would be appreciated.
