Rechroming is a nightmare on mazak castings, most rechromers refuse to do
it. There is a technique of copper filling which is very time consuming and
expensive that is why most will not attempt it.

My solution to the problem was to find a vendor that sold rechromed units on
an exchange basis. That way the finished product could be inspected prior to
purchase.

The purchase price was marginally higher than rechroming my own but the end
result was worth it.
