Bob:
When John Esposito rebuilt the transmission and O / D in the TR2, he strongly
recommended that I use 30wt NON DETERGENT oils. I asked him why non detergent
and I seem to remember an answer concerning foaming. Also asked him if there
was a particular brand and he said any of the majors. John also suggested
changing the fluid every other year (or about 5,000 miles). Per his
suggestion, I have used Valvoline and the units perform flawlessly.
