I have removed the radiator from a TR3 without pulling the front from  
the car. My first TR3 was welded together so it was imposible to do it  
otherwise. It is a pain though. You might still have the radiator with  
the hole I think because the fan might have to come out too. It was  
almost 20 years ago... Anyway the head of the engine has to come off  
for it to clear. If you are wanting to redo the head that's fine. I  
remember trying to remove the fan with the radiator still in and  
getting lots of cuts on the knuckles.
So the choice is take the engine apart or take the nose off. Taking the  
nose off might be a pain if it has never been off.
