Can someone tell me how the tube comes out from the center of a split
column type TR3A steering column? I took the control head off and the olive
nut off of the bottom of the tube and tried sliding it out the bottom, but
it only goes about 18 inches and then binds up. I wondered if the
compression fitting needed to be removed and the thing slides out the top of
the column instead.
Can someone give me a hand here?
I am doing a rack and pinion conversion.
