Terry, AFAIK my oil pump drive shaft bushing has never been replaced and
there's likely over 1/4 million miles on it. Unless it's obviously badly
worn, I'd leave it alone. If it was hugely loose, the dizzy drive gears
might wobble enough to be a problem, but IMO it's unlikely. Also, AFAIK, no
one sells a ready-made replacement for that bush.

Not sure what this has to do with the drive shaft bush, it's in the block
not in the pump. However, I would definitely pull the pump apart and check
the end and rotor clearance. Inspect the faces for damage, and also inspect
the outer rotor for cracks, it has been known to happen.
