>I'm redoing my dash, including the top and need to get the windscreen off,
or at least up a bit to tuck the cover in. I've removed the nuts from the
'posts' and the adjusting bolts are out. But it doesn't seem to want to
come out. What am I missing?

The first time I pulled a wind screen from a TR4 we encountered the
situation where the post on the windscreen and the socket into which it
fits were stuck together because the paint was still soft when it was
assembled. We had to dismount the socket altogether and twist it around a
bit to get it loose. This, of course, required the removal of the dash
vent tubes and a few other thinkgs that were in the way.

Every TR6 I encountered had the same problem. And it seems that one side
only is the culprit and it isn't always the same side.

Slime up the posts with grease or anti-seize upon reassembly.

Good luck

Dave
