 Dennis,
 I recently had a TR4 frame sandblasted and powder coated for $250.00.  If
you can get it powder coated, it is much more durable with a  very hard
finish, which is very resistant to scratches.  Make sure the firm which
does your frame, covers all surfaces you don't want to be coated.  It is a
lot of work to scrape it off.
