It's not likely, IMO, but I have heard of people managing to force it into
place with the pump lever on the wrong side of the camshaft. It's also been
my experience that aftermarket gaskets don't fit quite right, and need to be
trimmed a little at the bottom to avoid holding a tiny reservoir of oil (to
eventually leak out).
