The plug is placed in the hole with the dome facing you. You then hit it
with a hammer to flatten the dome and thereby expand the perimeter of the
core plug to seal the hole. Make sure the seating area for the core plug is
clean and un-nicked. Seems to me that I put a little permatex around the
perimeter, too, but it has been so long since I have done this that I have
forgotten. Maybe someone else on the list will have an opinion on this...
