The members of both of these organizations are by nature pretty hard-core
auto enthusiasts and many of us mourn the loss of the opportunity to view
some of the best automotive TV out there in the form of Top Gear or Fifth
Gear. Apparently viewership wasn't deemed large enough to continue to air
these shows, but perhaps if The Discovery Channel received some feedback
from us and other automotive clubs they might reconsider.
I contacted The Discovery Channel at:

and expressed my wishes that they reconsider. We've all had enough of
NASCAR, so if you want to see something else then click on the above link
and maybe, just maybe we will get a response. I suppose we could do the
same with the Speed/NASCAR TV channel.
