Frank you must remember the original drivers back in the 40"s were 
"Moonshiners" (considered the best drivers at that time), and yes they were 
all from the hills of the Carolina's, where and how they grew-up is still 
intact "Good Ol Boys" only difference today is they have lots of money, 
dress and accent are the same today as with their ancestors going way, way 
back, they are not staged or put on's, they are still "Good Ol Boys.  Nope I 
am not a NASCAR fan, but I did watch a fine driver way back by the name of 
"Lee Petty" the very best in his time.  "FT"
