When you say that are the same size do you mean one pipe fits over the other
with minimal space and you want to seal off the connection. Check out the
autoparts store. There will be a product called muffler sealer (or something
like that) that comes in a tube. It works like gasket sealer but for exhaust
systems. Apply this to the joint before assembly and it will set up filling
the
gaps.
