Thanks to all who offered suggestions about diagnosing the vaporizing
brake fluid and possible head gasket leak with the GT6 Mk 3

I disconnected the vacuum line to the manifold and plugged it and the
brake vacuum line. It still smoked when I started up, but there was
not nearly as much smoke/vapor/fog as previously. I ran the engine
for about 30 minutes to clear all the smoke.

I'll start up again tomorrow night and see if it still smokes. If so,
on to the head gasket problem.

I still need to look about who can rebuild the brake booster. The
never ending story continues.

very sincerely,

Steve
