[TR] bushing carbs

Listers,
I'm assessing the condition of my carbs (SU tr-3) and feel the throttle shafts 
probably need rebushing.  I know the suggestions that these need to  be reamed 
by professionals and am wondering if its something that can be done by a 
hobbiest.  Has anyone done it for themselves and how did it come out?  Would 
you 
do it again?
