no. its not a new lock, its the all original 1958.
i had all my dash
re-covered by that good guy in Ohio. he does a wonderful job.
but now im
re-assemble things and im not quite getting it the way it was when i took it
apart.
must be me.

Is this a new lock mechanism? If i remember
correctly, the original latch was flat and the replacement I bought was
bzb shaped. I used the old one instead of the one which can with the new
lock. Or you could modify the new one.
